Blog Post #1 - Manifest Like A Champion
Hey this is Andrew otherwise Known as that guy who wrote "The Last Law of Attraction Book You'll Ever Need To Read," and today I’m gonna be teaching you one of my absolute favorite methods from my book. It’s called Protecting the Prize.
This is one of the most advanced visualization tips out there for boosting your vibrational signal, inviting the result that you really want to attract, and manifesting like a bona fide champion -- and it’s fun to do.
The name for it was actually inspired by a story I heard about a mixed martial artist who was trying to achieve world champion status in the UFC women’s straw weight division.
The way the story goes is while she was obviously putting a lot of hours into training her body and working on her moves, another part of her preparation was strictly mental and involved a 2 visualizations that her sports psychologist was putting her through.
The first was a meditation in which she pictured herself winning the title, which probably doesn’t really surprise you if you know anything about the law of attraction.
But the other visualization -- the one that really caught my eye was the one where she envisioned herself DEFENDING her championship.
And make no mistake, that ONE difference between seeing herself winning the belt ...and seeing herself defending it -- makes way more of an impact and will lead to way more powerful results than you could ever imagine.
And the reason this method works so well is because by consistently putting yourself in a mental (and therefore, universally energetic) simulation of already having achieved your goal, you end up easily and automatically putting out a much stronger signal of certainty and confidence through your thoughts.
And the more confidence behind the energy of your thoughts, the more magnetic the signal you send to the Universe to begin matching up for you.
We’re basically talking about an easy hack to give yourself a stronger emotional pull toward what you want without letting in any resistance that might have otherwise slowed things down for you or kept you from getting what you want creep in without you knowing.
And doing something like this kind of visualization for 5 minutes, or 3 minutes, or even just 90 seconds a day -- will get you a lot further, a lot faster, than you ever could have dreamed of.
So just to make sure we’re all on the same page here, let’s go through a quick example and talk about the best strategic way to make sure you’re doing this right.
But First, just so we’re clear - I use the word “protecting” in the name of this method because the straw weight fighter ‘defending’ her championship is such a clear example of how and why this works. But keep mind, to make sure this is just as effective for you, the mentality behind all of this not so much about “protecting” what you have as it is “maintaining” or “keeping” it.
So say, for example, you want to make a million dollars. Well, if that’s what you’re really going after, visualizing yourself receiving that money is always a good strategy. But an even better way -- one where this method really comes into play -- is visualizing what you would do once you had the money. You’re coming from a mental state of no longer trying to GET it, but instead, simply trying to maintain or keep it.
From THAT perspective -- what investments might you make? Would you put some of it in real estate? Or bonds? Or somewhere else?
You want to visualize yourself in meetings with professional money managers or high level accountants having these important conversations about the money that’s ALREADY in your account. And these conversations that you’re visualizing should be fun and exciting, not boring.
And really, there’s no reason why these conversations that you rehearse in your mind can’t be exciting. Not when you’re thinking about buying ownership in your favorite sports team. Or investing in beachfront property in your favorite city. Or something else that really lights you up with how you spend or manage your money.
BUT it’s also kind of okay if these meetings (or anything else you visualize) ever seem a little ordinary or even mundane, because when that happens, having what you want still feels way more real to you because it’s based in a visualization that almost feels like any other day you’re used to living through, -- just another day in your life -- so your vibrational frequency is all the more potent because of that.
Let’s take another example: “protecting” or maintaining the kind of relationship you want to be in. Well, for that, rather than worry about meeting the man or woman of your dreams, and trying to come up with the perfect visualization of how that might finally happen -- instead, you want to imagine yourself already with them.
And from that emotional place of ease and mental clarity and confidence, ask yourself -- if you now had the healthy loving relationship that you’ve always wanted, what kinds of dates would you plan with this person to keep the romance going? What kind of home would you eventually look for together? What kind of decisions would you need to make as a couple?
Visualize yourself planning and going on these dates. Visualize yourself cuddling on the couch together watching your favorite movie.
Visualize conversations like how you’re going to share closet space together or who does the cooking and who does the cleaning each night or anything else that would normally come into play in any healthy relationship.
Are you finally moving in together, and if so, does one of you have a guitar that you need to make room for? Do one or both of you have lots of clothes or books or anything else?
These are real things to deal with and figure out after you’re ALREADY WITH somebody special. And so envisioning yourself at this stage of having what you already want engages you way more in the entire meditation, which is why this method is so awesome, so fun, and most importantly, so effective.
Oh, and if you hit a roadblock because you can’t come up with a face to visualize, there’s always a way around that -- and for this example, you can choose situations where you’re on the phone with them, so there’s no reason why you can’t use this method to attract the relationship you want. There’s always a way.
Oh and for health and fitness, you can see yourself going to the gym or even just planning your workout schedule at home now that you’ve got the kind of awesome body you need to maintain. Or see yourself ordering clothes in smaller sizes on Amazon and putting a rush on shipping because EVERYthing you have right now is just too big, or getting text messages complimenting you on how great you look on facebook or whatever else.
KEY TAKEAWAY here: If you want to manifest a specific experience, achievement, or thing -- pick a clear and detailed scenario to visualize where you’ve got it already. Feel what it feels like to be the person who’s already achieved what they wanted. BE the person who has it. THAT’S the signal you want to send out to the Universe.
After all, you only ever want something because you believe that having it will feel good. So these visualizations should be enjoyable experiences.
And just so we’re clear here, because I know a lot of people fall into the trap of quitting on law of attraction techniques too soon because they can’t think of any good visualization details in the moment -- be strategic about this and think about what you’re going to imagine before you do the actual visualization. Literally write out a rough script for you to follow. Or just write down 3 or 4 specific things that you know will be fun for you to think about when you’re doing the method.
This is about being strategic so that we can get the most out of this technique or any other method you ever do. It’s about an approach that’s actually going to work.
That’s why I only put techniques in my book that are user-friendly and fun to do. This is about having an easy habit that you look forward to, that you never struggle with, and that never feels like a chore.
And sometimes that just means pre-planning what you want to visualize so that the methods work way better and invite what you want into your reality way easier and way faster.
